In an effort to reinvigorate the community and bring people together, our Annual Community Outreach Dinner (typically in the winter) provides a delicious and nutritious hot meal to Durham locals including neighbors from group homes, homeless shelters, senior centers, and the local neighborhood. We invite local social service and support agencies as well as other non-profit organizations to provide beneficial information to the community. In addition, everyone is entertained by local community artists. Different presentations are made throughout the program. Supporters, such as elected officials and corporate representative are invited, and often attend the event. We serve at least 450 people at these events.
